Application

On Gel-X® Tips

1. Prepare the surface of the Gel-X® Tip with Gel-X Prep® or an e-file.
2. Apply an even coat of Prismatic Gel Couleur. Immediately after application, move the magnet in a circular motion around the perimeter of the nail to pull the magnetic particles toward the center and create the desired effect. Then cure under an LED lamp for 30 seconds.
3. For a more intense effect, apply a second coat and repeat the magnetic effect as desired. Cure again for 30 seconds.
4. Finish with Builder Top Gelcoat or Non-Wipe Top Gelcoat and cure for 30–60 seconds.

On Natural Nails

1. Lightly buff the natural nail, prep with pH Bonder, and allow it to air dry. Optionally apply Acid-Free Gel Primer.
2. Apply a thin, even layer of Base Gelcoat or Base Gelcoat X and cure for 30 seconds.
3. Apply Prismatic Gel Couleur. Immediately after application and before curing, move the magnet in a circular motion around the perimeter of the nail to create the desired magnetic effect. Then cure for 30 seconds.
4. If desired, apply a second coat, repeat the magnetic effect, and cure again for 30 seconds.
5. Finish with Builder Top Gelcoat or Non-Wipe Top Gelcoat and cure for 30–60 seconds.

Removal

Carefully file off the top coat and color layer using an e-file. Then soak the nails in 100% pure acetone for 10–20 minutes until the gel becomes soft and jelly-like. Gently lift off the softened gel using a remover tool or cuticle pusher. Do not force the product off. Finish by lightly buffing the natural nail and applying cuticle oil.

Recommendations

• Pro Tip: For the trending Moon Beam Look, move the magnet wand in a circular motion around the perimeter of the nail after each coat to pull the magnetic particles toward the center. The more controlled the movement, the more defined the halo effect will be.
• For a more intense and dramatic color shift, apply Prismatic Gel Couleur over a complementary base color.
• For an especially brilliant, multidimensional high-gloss finish, we recommend Builder Top Gelcoat.
• For a bold Y2K-inspired look, finish with Heavenly Top Gelcoat for an intensely iridescent, mirror-like effect.
